“Recent discoveries at Ukhaa Tolgod have overturned the interpretation of one of Roy Chapman Andrews’ most famous finds from another Mongolian locality.” The scientist thought that a small birdlike dinosaur was caught stealing eggs from a Protoceratops, like a small version of Triceratops, so he named it Oviraptor, or “egg stealer”. But the new evidence indicates that “it now seems possible that the animal Andrews found may in fact have been defending its nest against a thieving Protoceratops!”
