Recommended Reads for September: Celebrating Labor Day

In the United States, the first Monday of September is Labor Day.  Since 1894, this day has been recognized by Congress as a holiday dedicated to the social and economic efforts and successes of workers in America (United States Department of Labor).

In honor of Labor Day, September’s recommended readings highlight the labor movement, labor history, and the experiences of the working class.

You can find some of these materials on our recommended reading display rack on the plaza level of the Library.   Several EBSCO eBooks have also been included in the reading list, and these can be accessed online via the links provided in this guide.  For help checking-out and downloading EBSCO eBooks, please see our guide.
